After consulting with our Deacons, we have decided we must continue to support the request of our President, our Governor and local Health Officials to not have gatherings of 10 or more people through the end of April in order to help slow the spread of the Coronavirus.

This means at least four more Sundays without our regular services. We will continue to provide a Livestream Sunday Worship Service at 10:30 am on our Church Facebook page. We have averaged between 750-1000 views our first three weeks of doing the Livestream (About 250 views by the end of the Livestream hour!). Once the Livestream ends, it is a recorded video that can be watched anytime. You can view any of those worship videos here.

I know this is a difficult time. But God is going to provide for you and your family, and He will provide for His church. We are going to come out the other side of this stronger and better equipped to serve the Lord!

If you are in need of help getting food and supplies, please let us know. We have some folks willing to get supplies for people who cannot get out, or don’t want to get out because you are in a higher risk category. We can bring the supplies to your house and leave them on the porch for you. Send me an email at brkcmo@gmail.com. Or you can call the church at 893-2600 and leave a message. We will get back to you.

Our Administrative Assistant, Susan, is now working from home, following the directive from the Health Department. But we are checking phone messages regularly.

The church did sustain hail damage on Friday, March 27. Here is a video from our house about 1/2 mile away from the church that gives you an idea how the hailstorm looked! The roof is being checked out today by the insurance company. So pray this will all work out the way it needs to. The church bus and van also have broken windshields and dents. We have contacted the insurance company about it.

Thank you to everyone for your faithful giving. We made it through the month of March, able to pay all bills! April will be challenging. But I know the Lord will provide what we need through His people. We do now have an online giving option available, and you can certainly mail your tithes and offerings to the church. We are checking the mail daily.

We must consider that what we are doing in pausing regular activities IS a ministry. We are serving others. We are sacrificing for the good of others. Philippians 2:4 says: “Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. “ What we are doing is saving lives. Thank you for your service and for your love for others. May God bless you and keep you.

Here is video of our Sunday Morning Worship Service, March 29, 2020. It was the second week we had an Online-only service due to the Coronavirus Crisis. The sermon was from Luke 23:47-49, “Facing the Truth of the Cross.”

This is just a heads up to let you know there will be no Church Newsletter for April.

With all the chaos and turmoil surrounding the Coronavirus Crisis, I talked with Susan, our Administrative Assistant, and decided there would be little point in sending it out under the current circumstances. We are trying to communicate using phone calls, emails, and posts on Facebook as well as here at the Cornerstone Website.

We are unsure when we will be able to resume regular services, and information we might put in a printed newsletter could be out-of-date before it even gets to homes.

As soon as we get past the Coronavirus Crisis, we will resume sending the monthly newsletter. Thank you for your understanding in the midst of these trying times.
