MISSIONS
Missions is the sharing of the Good News of Jesus
Christ to the ends of the earth that all people may come to know Him,
and join in worship of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords -- Jesus
Christ! To that end, Cornerstone supports a variety of avenues to
see that the Great Commission given to us by our Lord is fulfilled:
Cornerstone supports missions efforts in more than 130 countries of the world through the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. By giving to the Cooperative Program,
Cornerstone supports the ongoing budget of a worldwide missions effort
seeking to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with every people group,
every person in the world. Cornerstone gives 10% of all
undesignated receipts to the cause of worldwide missions through the Cooperative Program.
These Cooperative Program funds are used to share Jesus Christ in our
state, our nation, and around the world. These funds are used to send
the more than 5,100 missionaries to their fields of service, pay their
yearly salary, and supply basic needs. Cornerstone also supports the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for
International Missions each Christmas season which is used to fund the
ministry budget needs of the more than 5,100 missionaries sent out by
Southern Baptists around the world.

Cornerstone is also involved in missions efforts in the
United States and North America through the North American Mission
Board (NAMB) of the Southern Baptist Convention. Joining with over
45,000 Southern Baptist Churches across the USA, Cornerstone supports
NAMB through its giving to the Cooperative Program and through a
special Easter season offering known as the "Annie Armstrong Easter
Offering for North American Missions."
Cornerstone seeks to reach the state of Missouri with the Good News of Jesus by supporting the Missouri Baptist Convention.
As one of nearly 2000 Missouri Baptist Churches, Cornerstone seeks to
actively go to people in Missouri with the Gospel by giving, praying,
and participating in missions and evangelism efforts.
Baptist
Men and Woman's Missionary Union seek to galvanize both men, women,
boys, and girls in the task of sharing Jesus so that every person has
the opportunity to hear the Gospel and respond. Mission Friends on
Wednesday nights at 7 p.m. teaches preschoolers about Jesus and those
who seek to share His love around the world. GA's teaches elementary
age girls about missions efforts seeks to involve them in the work of
missions.
Cornerstone is also blessed to have several church members active in the Kingdom Klowns, a group composed of members from Baptist churches throughout the mid-Missouri area. Kingdom Klowns seeks to use the clowing ministry as a way to share the love of Jesus
in a unique, interesting, and non-threatening. If you would like more
information on how you could be a part of this clowning ministry, or
how you could schedule them, please contact the church office at
893-2600. We'll be glad to put you in touch with the right people!
